The 219 Chain Wear Indicator Tool helps identify chain stretch as part of regular kart drivetrain maintenance. Chain elongation can reduce drivetrain efficiency and accelerate wear on engine and rear sprockets, so regular checking is useful when maintaining 219 pitch chains.
Place the gauge against the chain rollers while the chain is clean and lightly tensioned. If the chain fits into the wear limit on the tool, it has stretched beyond the recommended range and should be replaced before it causes unnecessary sprocket or drivetrain wear.
Use note: Use this tool as part of regular chain inspection alongside chain alignment, lubrication, sprocket condition and general drivetrain checks.
