Well the year started relatively normal but as March rolled around reality hit us all. Fast forward 6 months, Spring is in the air and racing was almost normal again in NSW.
Despite the lengthy delay we attended 13 race meetings in 2020, although not all at the tracks we planned. None the less it was a great year for us and 4 stroke karting. At long last we were able to secure a Sportsman class win in the SEKNSW championship. A special feat we had been chasing for a few years and narrowly missed each year until now. A very special award in memory of a great friend and very special person to SEK as a whole.
With an unchanged team all year, reliability and consistency, the job was completed. Not only was it a win in the sportsman class but 3rd outright for the season.
It was great to be able to deliver for our drivers, some who have been chasing glory for years, others racing multiple series in 2020 but getting the job done with us.
In 2021 we will have 2 karts available for arrive and drive purposes. The first being SEKNSW with a fully prepared kart available and also a 4SS kart at selected meetings. If your interested in trying your hand at either contact us for details.
While many companies continue to struggle with production we continue to source stock to get us through the holiday period.
We have Torini Clubmaxx engines in stock but supply is limited currently. Get in early or you could be disappointed.
Endurance racing for twin engine classes is growing at a rapid rate currently for both SEK and TEKA. Demand for karts is high and we recently shipped a new Zenspeed package to Queensland. It's been a frantic build for the new owners but the job is basically done in time for the final SEKQLD round. We also sold 2 used Zenspeed packages in record time so expect bigger fields in SEKNSW and the Maverick dominated TEKA series.
Keep an eye on our Facebook page as we could just advertise a few specials coming into Christmas.
